Gulf Earth Moving WLL (GEM) was founded in 2012 as subsidiary of the Belgian Aertssen group, purposed to serve large scale reclamation shore protection, earthmoving and soil improvement projects in Qatar. Beside GEM, Aertssen group also has a company in the UAE under the name Earth Moving Worldwide Ltd. Aertssen group worked in Qatar before under their own name on the Port Expansion Project in Ras Laffan as a contractor for CFE Qatar.
