Oman Gas Company S.A.O.C. (OGC) is the gas transportation company in Oman delivering natural gas to main economic sectors and major consumers comprising of Domestic, Power and Desalination plants, Fertilizer, Methanol, Petrochemical, Refinery, Steel and Cement plants.
The Company is involved in the transmission and distribution of natural gas, through a large network of gas pipelines, compressor stations and gas supply stations. The Company also provides project management services in pipeline construction.
OGC was established in August 2000 as a closed joint stock company between the Government of Oman represented by the Ministry of Oil & Gas holding 80% of the shares and Oman Oil company holding the remaining 20%. Royal Decree no. 78/2000 has granted the Company concession rights for 27 years to own, construct, maintain and operate natural gas facilities in the Sultanate of Oman. OGC was acquired 100% by Oman Oil Company during 2013.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field.
EXPERIENCE:
3-5 years of related experience; preferably, in large public relations agency or private organization.
JOB SKILLS:
Computer literate with expertise in MS Office.
Good communication skills & interpersonal skills.
Good administration skills in managing day to day operations.
Strong writing skills, including, the ability to translate complex technical terms in an easy-to-understand manner.
Detailed oriented with excellent planning and organization skills.
Having a good aptitude in designs and designing applications (InDesign, Photoshop, After Affect… etc) is a plus.
Roles and Responsibilities
Moderate communications throughout the organization and using various resources, such as social media monitoring and tracking programs for both internal and external communications to follow, analyse and execute communications.
Work to ensure messages are consistent with the overall brand and meet the company’s standards to maintain and promote the positive image on behalf of the organization.
Write promotional and marketing materials and manage distribution of mail-shots relating to corporate events and internal communications.
Manage preparation and presentation of materials for example but not limited to corporate film production, intranet and website contents.
Identify and develop additional communication channels and tools with the objective of improving employee engagement and ensuring key messages are delivered efficiently and effectively.
Provide advice and support to managers and staff on a broad range of communications, events, and projects.
Manage OGC sponsorship activities and measure OGC performance via the use of various tools and techniques.
Develop a yearly high level industry events calendar.
Develop and manage OGC business calendar for internal communication.
Manage OGC internal and external websites, and any other communication application and ensure are updated on a regular basis.
Initiate and manage the organisation and co-ordination of OGC events, meetings and any other engagement events.
Provide support to corporate communications programmes and processes within OGC business units and departments.
