Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an organisation under Government of India to recruit staff for various posts in the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and in Subordinate OfficesThis commission is an attached office of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) which consists of Chairman, two Members and a Secretary-cum-Controller of Examinations. His post is equivalent to the level of Additional Secretary to the Government of India.
Educational Qualification : Candidates should have passed Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board.
Age Limit (as on 01-08-2019): Minimum 18 years and Maximum 25 years
Age Relaxation
OBC Candidates - 03 Years
SC/ST Candidates - 05 Years
PWD Candidates - 10 Years
Pay Scale : Pay Band - 1(Rs 5200 - 20200) + Grade Pay Rs 1800, (revised Pay Scale after 7th CPC : Pay in Matrix - Level-1)
Selection Process
Selection of candidates will be made on the basis of Written Examination.
Application Fee
General/OBC candidates have to pay Rs. 100 through online mode using Net-banking/Credit or Debit Card.
SC/ST/Women candidates don’t have to pay any fee.
