Abu Dhabi Gas Industries, GASCO, was first born out of the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan’s vision for the utilization of the United Arab Emirates’ vast gas resources. The company was incorporated in 1978 as a joint venture between ADNOC, Shell, Total and Partex. Our first plant became fully operationa​l in 1981.To respond to the ever-increasing demand for energy and the growing interest in Natural Gas as an economically attractive and environmentally benign fuel, we have invested US$ 10 Billion in projects to expand our processing capacity to 8 Billion Standard Cubic Feet per day during 2013. From our modest beginnings in the 1980s, we have grown into one of the largest gas processing companies in the world, now operating six mega plants.
