Which dog out of these should I get?

I just cant make up my mind! I love them all but I can only get one (possibly for christmas or earlier).. Here are the options with the pictures which I was planning to get, which dog do you think I should get? 1. (Micro) Mini Maltese http://www.internationalkennel.com/images/maltese.jpg http://sg.88dbmedia1.jobsdb.com/sg_UploadFiles/2008/04/05/419F19B2-F19F-461A-8279-4F86CAC2226F.jpg http://www.siouxlandmarketplace.com/images/classifieds/maltese1.jpg 2. Teacup poodle http://www.teacuppoodles.net/29%20TTF%20001.JPG http://www.toy-poodles.net/index_files/image6481.jpg 3. teacup chihuahua http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d151/PrincessPoohBear4/teacup_pooch.jpg 4. Pomeranian http://www.puppy-stork.com/images/extanepomeranians/extanepomeranians_pupimage1.jpg As you can tell I am looking for a small dog.. So what one do you think I should get? Its going to be staying inside a lot and I can take full care of it as I have had other dogs before. No, Im not kidding actually - I find the dogs really cute. Everyone has different opinions and I need a small dog that can stay in the house and I can take around with me. If anyone has any other suggestions of dogs - im open to ideas. Im not buying the dogs out of the breeders of the pictures they are just pictures I found so people could see a picture of the type of dog I want..

  1. You're kidding, right? Without even looking at the sites, I can tell they are the worst of the worst puppy mills. Since in the non-puppy mill world, there is no such things as a teacup anything or a micro mini anything, I guess a Pomeranian is the way to go. But certainly not from anyone on that horrid site. http://www.pbrc.net/breeding3.html to help you learn what a responsible breeder is http://www.stoppuppymills.org to help you lean what a puppy mill is http://www.americanpomeranianclub.org/ to find a responsible Pom breeder http://www.chihuahuaclubofamerica.com/teacup.htm to read the Chihuahua Club of America's Teacup statement http://americanmaltese.org/ama_breeder_questions.htm to read about Maltese Breeders and to read Maltese Myths http://www.poodleclubofamerica.org/breederref.htm to read about the sizes that poodles come in (hint - teacup isn't one of them) and to get a breeder referral. Added: How bout a properly bred dog of one of those breeds from a responsible breeder? No one said the breeds are bad, just the puppy mills they come from and the fake names on them. I just gave you 5 links that can help you find a responsible breeder.
  2. pomeranian.
  3. Whichever dog at the animal shelter captures your heart. What's wrong with regular sized Maltese, Chihuahuas, and Yorkies? They are still small, and a lot more healthy. Is a few pounds lighter really worth $2,000+
  4. You shouldn't get ANY of these dogs. There is no such thing as a teacup, micro, mini anything - these are just cutesy names slapped on runts by unscrupulous breeders so they can sell them for more money. The only real breed you have up there is a pomeranian. These dogs are all very small to begin with; there is no need to get anything smaller. Most of these dogs are sickly and will end up costing you a fortune in vet bills. No responsible breeder would EVER purposely breed runts. Please find yourself a good, responsible breeder (the akc website will list registered breeders: http://www.akc.org). Better yet, go to your local shelter and find a dog in need of a good home.
  5. you should get the (Micro) Mini Maltese if you are gonna only choose from these breeds. It is the cutest. good luck.
  6. If the dog is going to stay inside a lot, it will not be socialized with anyone other than your family. Bad choice. There is no such thing as a "teacup" anything. These are runts of the litter. If you are seriously looking for a dog, RESEARCH each breed, then make an informed decision. These breeds may not fit you, your family or your lifestyle. Just loving dogs does not make you a qualified owner.
  7. i think you should get a pomeranian because its the only non teacup breed.teacups breeds usually get sick when older.get a pomeranian or a toy poodle http://stellartoypoodles.com/index_files/image4341.jpg good luck with what ever dog you choose.
  8. I think I would get the poodle because of their lack of shedding. I love my dogs but my house is full of dog hairs. Mainly from my pomeranian. He hates being brushed.
  9. They are all cute.
  10. I agree with what everyone has said about the teacup and micro. It is just a way for backyard breeders to sell the runts for more money. They put a cute name on it to make it more appealing. Try to go to a shelter, you can get purebred dogs there lots of times. Or at least do more research to find a good, reputable breeder.
  11. Get a Pug or a Havanese. Both are quite adorable.
  12. The maltese is already a small dog. Please go to this site and read the myths about teacup breeds , before making any decisions. The maltese is a lovely dog. http://www.foxstonemaltese.com/teacupmaltese.htm The pomeranian and Chihuahua I personally find snappy and yappy. I also think that all dogs should have a daily walk, so please consider this as well before getting a dog of any kind.
  13. NONE of them You can't be serious... The pic of the mini maltese....2nd pic They have him sitting next to a roll of TOILET PAPER??? I guess they didn't have an empty beer can available.... And do tell me, WHERE are they...an abandoned warehouse taking a picture? Go ahead and get one of the pups and don't come crying to us when the pup has all kinds of health problems.. Sometimes you do get what you pay for....
  14. if you're no kidding then you're really uneducated. There's no such thing as a teacup, micro, or mini dog. It's all a lie to convince stupid people to spend hundreds of dollars on an unhealthy, poorly bred, sickly, runt.
  15. first off there are no such "teacup or micro" anything there is only one chihuahua...some may be bigger than others but there is no such teacup breed, its mearly a term used to describe the size of a dog. you should go to the local shelter and adopt a dog, there are plenty of small dogs looking for good homes. also think about how much up keep you want to deal with, for example a short haired chihuahua would require nothing in terms of grooming except for the occasional bath, whearas a poodle would require grooming by a professional groomer every 6-8 weeks and brushing everyday by you.
  16. Pomeranian. My Pom is 2 years old. He's a really good dog. He's fine in the house, other than shedding but all dogs shed. He loves to go places with me. He's full of love and energy. Good luck with whichever you choose. : )
  17. ill go for the chihuahua... check out this sit for a list of shelters nearest you.. http://dogtime.com/shelters please do consider adopting... goodluck! ^_^
  18. Get one, I DARE you.
