Pomeranian Coat question?
My pom is 5mos old. White female who hasn't started her puppy uglies yet. I was wondering if her coloring could change a lot after her shedding? And is there any way to know if she'll have a full coat or flat coat? Or do I just have to wait till after the "uglies"? Here's a link of a picture of what she looks like. (This is not a picture of her but pretty close to what she looks like) http://ph.88dbmedia2.jobsdb.com/DB88UploadFiles/2007/11/16/EBCDFE88-9228-452A-8BB2-E4939787508F.JPG

- Awww she's very cute then! Coloring can change as they get older. I have an 11 month male pom and he looked a lot darker as a puppy when he was 9 weeks old, (he is a sabel and had black tipped hairs all over his body) and now he's mostly reddish orange and white with the black tipped hairs around his head and on the tip of his tail. So yes, he did change in color. I think you'll just have to wait and see about the coat till after the uglies. Although, a female pom is more likely to shed if she is in heat. So hormone changes in the dog will affect her coat. My pom went through the uglies at 5-7 months ish and now has a pretty full coat. I hear that the coat usually gets set by 18 months. Good luck with your cute lil pom!!
