How can I get out of Iran as a poor (without money) gay? I'm an 26 year-old Iranian and looking for ways to get out of my country because of terrible prosecutions and penalties for gay and lesbian people.I already tried several ways to get out of Irab but every time I became turned down. That's because each of those ways ends to M O N E Y.I should tell you that I have enough money to travel to the nearest country like Turkey or U.A.E but I'm not able to stay there more than 1 week.I had to apply gayy instead of the word gay cause the Iranian government has filtered all the sexual websites even those that contains gay ,lesbian ,queer and ... so you are not able to open them or search these words and as a result I decided to add another y to the word gay to be able to put in Yahoo Answers.I know one way can be staying and working till I collect enough money and then get out.But job vacancies are so rare here and I've traveled more than 4,000 kms looking for a job anywhere inside Iran from south to the north.Although I found some but... ...the salaries are so low and I have to work more than 3 years to be able to escape. One way can be going to one Europian embassies and get a tourist visa but they all want a heavy deposite to be sure that I will return to get it back and that's something I'm not able to provide.I called several human rights organizations ,American and Canadian lawyers but they said you must get yourself to a free country (that's what I'm able to do ,like traveling to Turkey) then stay there till all the progress will be done (I'm not able to stay more than 1 week as I mentioned above).I filled out an application form to be accepted in one of the Canadian universities and I was successful but when I went to the Canadian embassy in Tehran they asked me to show them a bank account certificate indicating that I have 20,000 Canadian $ in the bank to issue the visa.So I became turned down again.I spent lots of time on the internet to find someone to love and so he can help me to get out but as soon as... ...I finished my conscription he died on a brain tumor.Unfortunately I lost all my hope and don't feel I ever will be successful. Now I'm asking you ,what should I do?Please help me.

The government is reducing the age of kids from 16 to 10 when the mums have to look for jobs. Is this fair? Is it fair to make mothers go on to job search when the youngest child is only ten? At present it's 16, but it's going to be put down to 12, then 10 by three years from now. During the war, mothers were told it was good for the children to be looked after by someone other than the mother. But at the end of the war they were being criticised for having latch key kids. There was a method to this. They wanted the workers, but when it was over there weren't enough jobs for the men, so the women were encouraged to stay home again. So what is the reason this time? There are not enough jobs to go round, newcomers are taking them all at a cheaper wage. The retirement age was recently put up, leaving less job vacancies, so the school leaving age had to be put up too to counteract it. So where are these jobs coming from for the mums who would rather stay home and bring their kids up themselves? Is it to save money on income support, paying a lower job seekers allowance? OK, I got the ages wrong. It's 12 now, going down to 10 next year, and 7 the year after.
Getting a job in England... Is becoming a joke...? I have been actively seeking work in england for nearly a year and i have been searching for jobs left right and center while being on benefits. And I know this is going to sound low but ive tried to get a job in mc Donald's and ive applied to 8 store's and i have had nothing back. I have searched for so many jobs and i have had work experience and training from my previous employers ( who sacked me due to recession) but no one is willing to hire me even if its a crap cleaning job. I find it offensive that I don't seem to get hired because im english I have been into stores I have applied for job vacancy's at and surprise surprise the new person they hired over me is an immigrant who can not speak english clearly and has probably less training and good references than I have. Im getting sick of this and my friends feel the same. I think everyone is struggling. When im in the job center i hear people ranting saying they have been replaced by immigrants because they work out cheaper for the employer and people in the job center are really angry and guess what the government is getting drained by people like me who need a job and are free and willing to work 24/7 but are not getting employed. ADDITIONAL - don't call me a fail because I am searching for low payed jobs at fast food places you know nothing about me or my life. -Dont comment if you are not going to be creative -dont comment if you are from somwair that isnt the UK or that has similar circumstances
What kind of people do APS agencies recruit? My experience and qualification fit them perfectly, but failed? I applied for a few job positions offered by Australia government agencies (APS jobs) through online recruitment system. Obviously I have failed all of them without a single interview. My experience and Master degree fit these positions perfectly, and I spent a lot of time and energy to address the selection criteria. I am so frustrated. I would like to know what kind of people they want to employ. do they really looking for capable people for their vacancies if the vacancies have ever exsisted.
Job application: Am I an 'Other Asian'? I am currently unemployed and looking for a job. I have found a vacancy in the government (UK), but the advertisement states that they are only accepting applications from people of the following descents: 'Asian Indian', 'Asian Pakistani', 'Asian Other', 'Black African', 'Black Caribbean', 'Black other' or 'Mixed Race'. It's a really good job so I was wondering whether I can blag my way through by claiming that I fall into the 'Other Asian' because my parents are from Turkey. I guess the right thing to do would be to phone them but I just wanted to find out what you guys thinks.
Is it true that British born workers are lazy and unreliable compared to migrant labour coming into UK? I am currently finding it hard to get another job, even though I am willing to try anything, work any hours for any wage and I have worked very hard for UK employers all my life. But it does seem most job vacancies in my area nowadays get filled by immigrants brought in as a part of Blair government's policy, not people born in UK. Now with statistics indicating a pool of 4.8 million British people available but unable to get work, I am concerned to read of the recent statement reportedly made by the "British Chamber of Commerce" and "Institue of Directors" in the U.K. reflecting widespread opinion that British born workers are "lazier, less reliable and less skilled" than workers coming here from other parts of the world? But what is the evidence to support or refute these assertions by British employers if any? What can we British born people do about it?
Can anyone explain the real economic situation in the UK at the moment? There are thousands of new vacancies advertised by the agents every day, but it seems no recruitment takes place. Specially in the IT sector there are tens of thousands of people have lost their jobs. Isn't there anyone to control or monitor these redundancies? shouldn't the government intervene this problem? How can the job losers survive if they cant find new jobs? How long this resession will continue? Any predictions ?
How many people work in the U.S. Government? How many of them got their plum jobs as a result of political connections. How deep is the entrenched layer of former administration insiders, friends, wives, girlfriends, ect. For example, William Howard Taft IV was general counsel in the former Department of Health, Education, and Welfare in the 1970s, Deputy Secretary of Defense under Casper Weinberger and Frank Carlucci in the 1980s, and acted as Secretary of Defense during the vacancy of January-March 1989. In addition, he was a high-level official in the United States Department of State from 2000 to 2006. Paul Wolfowitz got his girlfriend a job in the state department. Would she have still been working there and her children and their children for the next 150 years if not for the outcry of the world bank employees. Is that how the system and the government works? In other words, is the majority sum of leadership in government a collection of former political appointees who have clung to power for generations? Here is the vehicle Bush will use to keep his friends and family fed at the government trouph for years and years to come. http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2006/03/20060307-5.html
Government interview? Interview Score? Group? Can someone explain to me how the government does their interviewing. After three long weeks of waiting the government finally got back to me on my interview. I received a score 75% and was placed in group 5. The letter stated I am qualified for the job but they need my diploma and official transcript from school. It also said that a hiring manager will call me when vacancies become available. I'm still unclear on how they select their candidates. I mean obviously they pick the candidates with the highest scores but the interview process is so flawed, everything is so damn subjective, the interviewer can literally make you or break you. Do they even take your qualifications into consideration or is it just based on how you responded to their questions?
Well-Qualified for Federal Job But Never Even Interviewed? I've recently applied for the same GS-13 level federal job for the second time this year that is at the same work location where I am working as a contractor. The work is very similar to what I have done for years as a contractor yet both times I have not even been called for an interview. I know it's a tough job market out there but I am wondering if it's justified to call/email the hiring manager to ask what I can do to improve my standing as a candidate the next time there is a vacancy. This position is really in line with what I would like to do and affords a career in the federal government rather than in the private sector. Good or bad idea to email the hiring manager? It's been a long time since I've been in the job market. Don't know if this is acceptable or would ruin my chances in the long run. This job is open to all U.S. Citizens and I fulfill all the qualifications stated.
21 to sell booze and cigarettes in the UK soon? are the government loosing their minds!? I went into a petrol station that had staff vacancy's for cashier jobs and the person told me that they are not looking to take on persons under 21 because they will not be able to sell alcohol and cigarettes in the near future. This is either a miss understanding on the cashiers front or a terrible truth. I mean I live in London and there is hardly any entry level jobs going but the only good paying entry level jobs and plentifully jobs are at night shifts at petrol stations and bars. I mean, does this mean all under 21s will not be able to work in places where they would serve alcohol and cigarettes. I mean are the government loosing their minds, there is mass unemployment and now for people like me looking for work, they cut us off from a variety of jobs leaving us unemployed longer. What about the under 21s who already work in bars and shops serving alcohol, will they get sacked? I don't see how this can be true. Also does this mean the drinking age will go up too? I see riots ahead. I seriously hope the cashier is mistaken. Im looking for bar work when I turn 18 , and i turn 18 in 11 months and during that time im taking courses. In my area ( im from a small town just off from london) the only jobs going is bar work and shop jobs, all involving selling alcohol. I feel the government is fiddling with stuff that is going to make everyone worse off. If the drinking age goes up to 21 were gonna see rowdy under 21 year olds drinking outside instead of bars. I think this might be one of them things there gonna try and end up P*ssing everyone off then change it back again. Our government is a waste of time. I hope to leave here as soon as I can. Funny its so easy to get in but so hard to get out.
Are There Enough Immigrants in the UK? Given the situation at the time of writing, asking whether the UK has enough immigrants would possibly be seen as a stupid question by most, but the question refers to the genuine, not illegal immigrants. In truth, genuine immigrants to the UK get very little attention, consequently, people don't often get the opportunity to see the positive side of immigration and how it contributes richly to the country as a whole. Immigration is a good thing for any country that welcomes cultural diversity as well as the professional skills and talents that many immigrants bring with them, but where is the line drawn with regards to numbers? The Polish are Here! In 2004, Poland became a member of the EU, and almost immediately a large contingent of Polish workers arrived in the UK hoping to find well paid employment that would allow them to send much-needed money back to their families. A few years on, and many of them have achieved what they set out to do. Almost immediately after their arrival, many successfully managed to obtain employment only for some of the population to complain that they were taking jobs away from British workers. The question that must be asked then is why so many of those vacancies weren't filled by British workers in the first place? Possibly the most likely answer is that many of those jobs were menial or low-paid positions that no-one was interested in or wanted to do but didn't seem to want foreign workers doing so either. Considering the UK level of unemployment, there shouldn't really have been any jobs available for Polish workers to take on anyway. Eventually, some returned home to Poland when the employment market there started to grow, but many still remain and have made the UK their permanent home. The Polish story is not one of true immigration as such, but more a case of a means to an end as the majority always intended to return home at some point. Getting the Balance Right Immigrant numbers is not just about having enough people to fill jobs though. It's about tolerance and respect for cultures other than our own; it's about understanding that immigrants are here to start new lives away from whatever hardships or dangers they've managed to escape in their own countries, and it's about extending a helping hand to those who aren't as fortunate as most. Getting the balance right is obviously easier said than done, and given the number of illegal immigrants currently in the UK, the task is made even harder still. It's very important that the subject concerning illegal immigrants is mentioned because rightly or wrongly, it plays a major part in how the UK population see immigrants and immigration as a whole. It is a bit like judging a book by its cover which unfortunately is a typical human failing often leading to incorrect assumptions and conclusions. Figures Exact figures of immigrants currently living in the UK tend to be a bit vague, but it's estimated that by 2010, there will be around 1.2 million immigrants from Europe alone, a figure which will significantly increase as other nationalities arrive. From a purely practical point of view therefore, it would make good sense to strictly limit the entry of immigrants until a clearer picture emerges of how many are already here and whether or not the country can sustain any more. Realistically, that's very unlikely to happen in the near future, and the longer it takes the Government to establish and enforce stricter immigration rules and measures, the issue of numbers is set to become a whole lot worse.
New measures by British government, will back 'Home Grown' workers. Is it not about time? Many people from outside Europe will find it harder to get jobs in the UK when the Government announces a series of measures to favour "home-grown" workers. British firms will be required to advertise for a month in UK Jobcentres before posting the same vacancy overseas. The new rules will also double to a year the qualification period for skilled foreign workers to join multi-national companies. But key public service workers or those with a masters degree will still be encouraged. The measures, to be introduced by Home Secretary Alan Johnson later today, are among 16 proposals put forward by the Migration Advisory Committee. They follow Gordon Brown's pledge of "British jobs for British workers". Yahoo News.
Is she serious or taking the mickey? At a job interview by one of these Government outsourced agencies I said I am a very experienced supermarket car park Vehicular Alignment Monitor. The woman offered me the vacancy of cleaner at our local library, saying it might suit me because there are bound to be books in there about motor cars.
What does "apply through proper channel" mean? In India in many of the job vacancy advertisements we see this instruction: "Candidates already in employment should apply through proper channel." I do not understand the rules here. Suppose I am employed and want to apply for a better job and so I try to forward my application through my employer. Now I hear that if my employer is not willing to let me go then he may refuse to forward my application. Why should that happen? I think it is my right to look for better jobs. Why should my employer would deny that? Also, in case I do not apply through the employer, but directly then will my application be rejected? or will there be only lack of continuation in job? this is important since getting pension etc after retirement depends on the number of years one was employed in government service. Can anyone explain these issues? I am facing such a situation.
I have desperately been looking for work but cannot get ANY!? as i am training to be an electrician, i am stuck in a catch 22 situation, there is alot of work but for experienced and qualified people ONLY . Nobody is willing to train me or even give me the opportunity to learn.i have spent alot of time and money on training but still no luck. I have the usual debts etc to pay off and lots of things i wish to do. The opportunities in this country are drying up for the locals and others have a better chance now. i have been unemployed a long time now. i wish to work hard and earn a living, what can i do? alot of agencies register me but have no work. why do agencies register people if they dont have any jobs?and why do employers advertise jobs if they dont have any vacancies? why do people not reply to letters i am sending out to?What the hell is this country comming to if government statistics show that over 45% of households are now living on government handouts? Whose laughing all the way to the bank?
Key Labour employment plan close to collapse - another good new labour plan? "The government's flagship policy to revolutionise welfare by paying private companies to find jobs for the unemployed was in crisis last night as firms said there were too many people out of work - and too few vacancies - to make it viable" http://www.guardian.co.uk/money/2009/feb/08/labour-welfare-jobs-plan
Work Visa in the US. Help please? I am Spanish and I am interested in looking for a temporary job in the US (six months, one year) but here is the doubt: all vacancies require a work visa for foreigners and the US government does not grant any work visa without having a job offer already. What should I do? Can someone give me advice? Thanks!
What are your thoughts on this??...? What do you think … ?? That feminism has done more than probably any other social or political force to destroy the family than any other in modern history?? … that it has been most major in promoting competition rather than co-operation and unification between men and women – certainly, between husbands and wives… that it has caused great uncertainty and much instability between men and women … that it has been a most powerful influence in the destruction or killing of potential babies… That ever since its prime inception there has been incredible increase in divorce, single-parented children, and increased instability concerning the commitment of husband-wife, and of intimate male-female relationships generally… That it has caused tired people - male and female – who both come home from work dog-tired and just want to just collapse, buy cheap take-aways for their own and their children’s meals and wonder why America and the rest of the Western world is becoming so unhealthy and obese… That it has caused such high rates of unemployment throughout the western world, in that females now demand former ‘male’ jobs in a limited ‘job-market’ … And all this being further frustrated by the fact that working wives/women tend to have many less children – in order to place their “careers” first – but the key is that it is mainly “children that provide work [as in ‘jobs’] for adults” … So feminism has economically, ‘created a HUGE vicious circle’, in terms of destroying jobs and economies in the west over its 40 years! … that increased division and divorces have meant that family members have had to split their abodes of living … meaning that where an entire family was living in one home, that same group, after divorce or break-up, now needs a minimum of two places to live, thus placing enormous [unnecessary] pressure on the demand for and price of housing and accommodation – No wonder the prices of housing have powered up economically over the past 30 years to where young people today find the dream of home ownership just that!!... … that attempting to get both husband and wife into limited employment vacancies, in many ways, means greater inequality than ever – in modern terms, as it means homes/families with DUAL incomes as opposed to homes with NO jobs or income – only as government benefits and taxes have had to be greatly increased … to only partially accommodate! WHAT A MESS!! Further, the economies have now responded to the presence of many with dual incomes, which effectively means that prices of goods and services, generally, have arisen to the point where what was once deemed an “opportunity” for women to work has now become an “economic necessity” for them to work!! … that driving women out to work has almost Necessitated that businesses have to operate 7 days per week now, because both ‘spouses’ work during [previously].normal’ hours … but, you see, the economy still has just the same amount of money circulating through it, whether we work 7 days or 4 days [!!]; so this means far less efficiency for ‘business’ to make its money!! … in fact, costs to operate the same turnover through ‘the turnstiles’ over 7 days are greater than the costs of making the same money over 5 days! Additionally, driving women out to work has not only ‘helped’ [along with other feminist ideas] to greatly increase single-parented children – usually meaning the female parent, but has resulted in an almost complete ‘take over’ of primary and secondary school education by females – so that many boys become ‘feminized’, and wonder why they turn out ‘gay’ with little male leadership in their lives, at the other end!! … So that, before we know it, the vast % of the world, will be living singularly, by comparison with previously! … and many will die part of a very lonely, unstable existence!! Has feminism been good for women?? Well … you tell me!!... As a colleague of mine said to me just a few years ago: “Any Thinking person can see that feminists haven’t done women any big favors!” What think ye of these things??

Baba [fool] Yag, well as you can see Mate, I don't mind meeting you on any grounds you wish.... We can all tell by the absolute GARBAGE NONSENSE YOU SPIT UP, MATE, THAT YOU ARE DESTINED FOR AN AMAZINGLY SHORT UNFRUITFUL CAREER ON YAHOO ANSWERS. The only 'fruits' you'll ever be party too, the current way you are going in answering other people, is stupor, treating other people as nincumpoops and hurtful actions that seem to display your sinister character.
Should other government officials follow the lead of Governer Rod Blagojevich? Now that Hot Rod Blagojevich has dug his heels in and ignored calls for his resignation, threats to impeach him have died down. In fact, I was hard pressed to even find a news update on him to get the spelling of his name right. Should less controversial officals who haven't been nailed by the FBI hold on to their jobs? For example, If Conoleeza Rice withheld her resignation from her post as Secretary of State, Hillary would have to stay in the Senate, and then Caroline Kennedy would have to twist in the wind, not running for a seat that never becomes vacant. And since we now know that Obama was just fibbing about bringing CHANGE to the executive branch, he should't have a problem with keeping more Bush holdovers besides Robert Gates around for a few weeks or months until Blagojevich either resigns or appoints a Republican to fill Obama's vacancy in the Senate.
youth direction is missing in india.............we have to take a step.? recently i went through research and found that 53% of taxi drivers in mumbai are graduates. in kolkatta its 62%. and its really amusing that 60% of taxi drivers in banglore and chennai are graduates and out of that 60% ,20% are B.E. i have seen lots of educated boys don't have job and they waste their whole day at some canteen just with smoking and tea or coffee. i know that our country doesn't have much job to offer but still at certain level its our fault. looking at developed countries, the guys starts earning in there teen age.in india they feel 'still we are young, let us finish the graduation then we will find a job' but time is moving faster day by day.no vacancies and tough competition. its 21st century,u have to be very fast. i feel youth direction is one of the main cause in any country's development which is missing in india. what steps we can take about it or what can be done for the same. if government is sleeping ,cant we help our generation. wake upppppppppppppppp! more answers vande matram
make me a summary please? TITLE) Clearing: universities run out of places.More than 100,000 students will miss out on places, as Ucas figures show degree courses are virtually Universities have nearly run out of spare places on degree courses for this autumn just a week after A-level results were published, according to new figures today. This means more than 100,000 students could miss out in the admissions scramble. Some 22,599 places have been filled through clearing, the system for allocating leftover vacancies on degree courses. It was originally estimated that there would be only 22,000 places in clearing overall. Ucas today insisted there were still some vacancies, but it could not say how many. There are still 135,800 students in clearing, while a further 50,778 are in limbo waiting to see whether their chosen universities will accept them despite their having missed the grades. Many subjects are now completely full. Ucas said that universities were still advertising vacancies in management studies, business studies and languages. The figures confirm that this year's admissions round has been the fastest in history. Normally, clearing lasts for about a month. Overall, a record 419,627 students have been accepted, compared with 375,104 at the same point last year. The intense competition has been sparked by a record 10% increase in applications, caused in part by the recession. Today's figures from Ucas reveal a 20% increase in applicants over the age of 25 – these might be people looking for a route out of the tough jobs market. The government has been criticised for introducing a cap on student numbers with just 3,000 extra places available for this year despite nearly 60,000 extra applications. It later added another 10,000 places, but some universities refused to take any of them after it emerged they would not be fully funded. Anthony McClaran, chief executive of Ucas, said: "As predicted, this year has been exceptional in many ways. We have seen a 12% increase in accepted applicants. Confirmation and clearing activity this year was always going to be challenging, but, as predicted, it has been quick and competitive so far – 22,599 clearing acceptances already processed, an increase of 13,336 when compared to the same point last year." Some 400 students have taken advantage of a new system called adjustment, which allows applicants who pass their exams with higher results than expected to trade up for a better university place. McClaran said: "Adjustment was introduced to give applicants another option … By using the five-day period wisely, some applicants can see what else is available. Nearly 400 students have successfully used adjustment to obtain new places so far this year, evidence that for these students it has proved very valuable."

where would we be with out them???? Some economists believe that if the nearly 12 million illegal immigrants were to leave the country, the results would be disastrous for the United States. Workers earning on the lower end of the pay scale would see their income rise since the supply of labor would shrink significantly. Even with higher wages, employers would still have difficulty finding workers to fill their vacancies due to the shortage of workers. Another downside is that the higher labor costs would be passed on to consumers, which would most likely result in a drop in overall retail spending. Local and state governments would see decreased spending in the area of social services like education and healthcare since there would no longer be 12 million immigrants in the United States to provide for. Some economists estimate that the savings would be in the billions of dollars. However, the United States government would also lose out on money that illegal immigrants contribute to Medicare and Social Security but that they are unable to collect due to their legal status. Industries like construction, farming, food service, hotel and manufacturing would take a big hit. These are some of the most common industries worked by illegal immigrants. To attract domestic workers the wages would have to be increased. However, some places already have a tight labor market as it is. In addition, there are jobs that many domestic workers would not take even with higher wages. The types of jobs that require long hours under the sun and back-breaking labor are not popular among Americans. The jobs are highly undesirable and are considered to have no prestige or little if any. The reality is that many domestic workers in the United States do not want to work long hours, do tiresome work and break a sweat unless it is highly compensated. The majority of American workers would prefer to work in an office with air conditioning and do a job that is more prestigious.
Will this create jobs & be the solution to the current economic recession bringing recovery? We've now witnessed the federal government's solution to the current economic recession. It's incarceration. If the transfer of 100 detainees (formerly known as terrorists) from Guantanamo, Cuba, to "Guantanamo II" in Illinois can create 3,000 well-paying jobs with great benefits, then that's the solution to our current economic malaise. All we have to do is round up all the estimated 12 million illegal (law-breaking) aliens who currently reside in our country, reclassify them as detainees and incarcerate them, pending adjudication of their immigration status. If my math is right -- according to U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., and Democrat Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn, it takes 30 people for each incarcerated detainee -- this roundup would create 360 million well-paying jobs with great benefits. There would be so many jobs that we would probably have to import people from Mexico to fill all the vacancies. Will this not work ?
A Aussie wanting to work in the UK? I want to know if it's a good idea for us Australians, especially me when we finish our studies (I'm doing IT), to travel overseas looking for work in the UK? I've read recently the UK government has changed some of the VISA laws for us young Australians who wanted to seek a working VISA, it's a 2 year VISA program and you can apply for a vacancy here and go to the UK and get into the job straight away. I'm wondering is it a good idea to go to the UK straight away or having much work experience in the career fields I'm doing and head aboard? Anyone could give me a website that discusses about careers for foreigners and etc, especially Aussies :) (oh and when it comes to cost of living and housing, i have a uncle somewhere living in the UK, so I won't be hopeless once arriving there, lol) link to story about visa changes http://www.news.com.au/story/0,27574,24568964-23109,00.html
Republicans, I have read many, many times where you say, ‘no, mccain is not the best,? but think about the vacancies on the Supreme Court’ That is so true, but what would make you think that Mccain, a wishy washy, stand for nothing, would put in anyone to be trusted? Think about the way he votes, a free-for-all immigration policy of amnesty A belief that the ‘rights and comforts of terrorist’ comes BEFORE the rights of Americans to live safely in our nation, We KNOW what we would get with Hillary or Obama, but they must still pass congress, with Mccain you can not honestly say that you have a clue who he would nominate. We know he’s been in power for all those years in congress and what did he do? Restrict abortion? No, Cut taxes? No, help make legislation that would stimulate jobs? No, in fact he can take the credit for sending more jobs to the EU in 2008 than anyone else in our own Government. And that is a simple fact.
If you live in the US -- Should I believe the stats offered by Regan's former Treasury secretary? New York City's retailers are praying for some of it, suffering a 15.3 percent vacancy rate on Fifth Avenue. "Virtually 10 years worth of real retail sales growth has been destroyed in the still unfolding depression." Meanwhile, New York City's homeless shelters have reached the all-time high of 39,000, 16,000 of whom are children. Desperate, the city government is offering one-way free airline tickets to the homeless if they will leave the city --------------------------------- A record number of Americans, more than one in nine, are on food stamps. ---------------------- Mortgage delinquencies are rising as home prices fall. According to Jay Brinkmann of the Mortgage Bankers Association, job losses have spread the problem from subprime loans to prime fixed-rate loans. The unemployment rate does not include jobless Americans who have been unemployed for more than a year and have given up on finding work. The reported 10% unemployment rate is understated by the millions of Americans who are suffering long-term unemployment and are no longer counted as unemployed. As each month passes, unemployed Americans drop off the unemployment role due to nothing except the passing of time. http://www.vdare.com/roberts/090921_economy.htm Drew Bloodsd All of that pompous attitude and you couldn't answer the question ?
can anyone answer all these question? Bill, an economics student, says, "This article makes no economic sense. It quotes someone as saying that the price of apartments will go up if jobs pick up in Santa Clara. But 5% of the apartments are sitting empty. Prices should go down when there is a surplus like this one." Sara, the graduate teaching assistant for Bill's section, tries to explain to him why he might be wrong. (You have to answer her questions for him.) 3.1. Sara starts by asking Bill to picture a city with 100,000 apartments, so an occupancy rate of 95% means that 95,000 apartments are occupied and 5,000 are empty. "Now suppose," she goes on, "that 1% of all the apartment dwellers move out each day. How many apartments will become vacant each day?" A. 1,200 B. 860 C. 500 D. 950 E. 740 3.2. "Imagine," Sara continues, "that a few empty apartments have new people move in on the very same day that the old occupants move out. Others take longer. After all, even if lots of people are looking for apartments, it takes a few days for new tenants to come see one that has just come on the market because most people don't search every day. "Let's assume that 19% of all the open apartments get new occupants each day. This means that on average, an apartment is empty for a bit more than 5 days. "So if there are 5,000 empty apartments, then how many apartments get new occupants each day?" A. 860 B. 1,200 C. 950 D. 500 E. 740 3.3. "So you see that if 1% of occupied apartments lose their tenants each day, and 19% of the empty apartments are filled each day, then everything balances out if there are 5,000 empty apartments at all times. The number of apartments that become vacant (1% times 95,000) is equal to the number that get filled (19% times 5,000). So with these rates, 5,000 apartments will always be vacant. The occupancy rate will stay at 95% and the vacancy rate will stay at 5%. "Next, things change. Suppose that a rich genie offers to pay everyone who rents an apartment in this city $500 per month. Surely this would lead to an increase in demand for apartments and eventually to an increase in the price of the apartments. I know this sounds silly," Sara says, "but bear with me. Sometimes when you want to get a sense for what is going on in realistic settings, it helps to start with a thought experiment that analyzes the effects of a more extreme case. "Because no new apartments can be built in this city, supply and demand analysis tells you that when the genie offers a $500 payment to each renter, rents should go up by..." A. $1500 per month B. $500 per month C. $1,000 per month D. $780 per month 3.4. "Now, to continue this thought experiment, imagine that at first, prices on apartments can't adjust because of rent controls imposed by the local government. Lots of people who don't currently rent in this city will suddenly start looking there because of the $500 payment that they can receive if they become a renter. "In the ensuing frenzy, apartments are snapped up even faster than before. Now suppose that on average, 49% of all vacant apartments get new occupants each day. You'll see in a minute," Sara says as an aside, "why I picked this odd number, 49%. It makes the other numbers come out nicely. "At this rate, the average apartment is vacant for about 2 days. In these conditions, what will the vacancy rate be in this market? To calculate this, continue to assume that 1% of all occupied apartments become vacant every day. I'll give you a hint and tell you that under these new conditions, you should find that 98,000 apartments will have occupants at any time, so 1% of these, or 980 apartments, become vacant each day. "If 49% of the vacant apartments are filled each day, how many vacant apartments must there be for the system to be in equilibrium, with 980 vacant apartments filled each day and 980 that become vacant each day? After you calculate this number, divide it by 100,000 to get the vacancy rate." "So the vacancy rate is: " A. 4% B. 5% C. 3% D. 2% 3.5. "Finally, what would happen if the government removes the rent controls? You have just calculated the vacancy rate before the government lifts the controls. It is bigger than 1%. This means that every day, there are vacant apartments even in the midst of this frenzy of apartment hunting. But surely when the government removes the price controls, the rents on apartments will shoot up. "And so," says Sara with a smile, "true or false? Prices can be rising in the market for apartments, even with a positive vacancy rate, and even when there are vacant apartments."

is there exploitation of employees in PSU Banks? Labour exploitation in Star Performer Banks Who will monitor NPA? It is better to sell the NPA so that new avenues for lending are opened and new scope for creation of NPA arises. Banks are proud of loading branches with new products without taking proper care of assets what they have and think it wise to allow NPA increasing, selling it to other bank or ARC. or writing off the same Banks in general know how to cook balance sheet and portray good picture before Ministry as Raju of Sayam used to do. None of prominent bankers want to understand and act on reasons of brakeless erosion in quality of bank assets .Everyone want to become star performer by manipulation and through shortcut route as hitherto done. Window dressing in business and exploitation of manpower are two shortcuts to achieve the goal. Labour exploitation was the mantra of private entrepreneurs before reformation era i.e. before 1991 when the policies of privatization and globalization were adopted by our government. Now even Public Sector Banks are also earning profit by curtailing manpower in many ways. First they do not make fresh recruitment in proportion to expansion of branches carried out by them. Secondly they do not fulfill the vacancies caused by resignation, death, dismissal and retirement. Thirdly they are introducing machine and outsourcing many job which were handled by internal staff in the past.Forthly they have added new business like insurance, demat, mutual fund, portfolio management etc in banks which were not part of banking work in the past. Lastly they do not increase manpower even if there is large scale increase in business of the branch; rather they put pressure on existing manpower in the branch to complete the work by sitting late. If banks start keeping manpower as per need of the branches I apprehend most of the banks will either come to loss or face considerable erosion in their profits. There is none to stop this culture now. There is a proverb, “jab saiyan bhai kotwal to dar kahe ka” In the past there used to be Labour Departments and Labour Enforcement offices in every district to enforce various labour friendly rules. But now these offices are getting their salary without doing any job. It is ironical that Government of India as a whole is advocating 12 hour work culture and seven days work in banking without satisfactory increase in wages whereas employees of central government are getting higher wage revision and enjoying five day week.
What do you think??...? Erin pro, you might Claim to be non-feminist, yet I'll bet you believe that you should be treated as [socalled] "equal" with othe men who may be married with large family, when going for a job. I'll bet you believe that you should get equal pay with an older man with a family to look after. You see, feminists have so "brainwashed" the whole of society over the past 40 years that we have forgotten what the realities of life were! Basically, you ARE feminist ... you have been well-brainwashed by most of the media and 'education' systems of the world to these 'updated', beliefs about family and 'women' that are basically foreign to a functional family and cohesive society. They actually work against women - most of these [so-called] 'feminist' solutions! In fact, they have actually proven themselves to work against virtually everyone!!! "Friendly", you are no "friend" to women. In this small space, I cannot possibly answer all your misunderstandings re the nature of life and existence. Re a woman pleasing a man as her central theme in life: Yes; that is her key role ... and children. In fact, you will recall that God stated His purpose for making Eve by saying, "It is not good that man should be alone; I will make an helpmeet for him" Later He told Eve that her "desire shall be to thy husband and he shall rule over thee". But the Gospel of Christ equally teaches that it should also naturally be the key role of a man to please his wife, and to look after and attend to his family. The key I am getting at, here, is that they achieve these same, equally important aims, thro0ugh their respective 'equally-important' roles. As Crissy Q said, when we meddle with the Godly-instituted roles of life: that's when we find ourselves in trouble! And we have meddled so long and deep that we are in terrible trouble now!!
