Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) was first settled in the year 1988 AQF as a non-statutory body for directing the, securities advertise. It turned into an independent body by The Government of India on 12 April 1992 and given statutory powers in 1992 with SEBI Act 1992 being passed by the Indian Parliament. SEBI has its central station at the business locale of Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai, and has Northern, Eastern, Southern and Western Regional Offices in New Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Ahmedabad separately.

Qualification:

General – 1.Master’s Degree in any discipline OR 2.Bachelor’s Degree in Law OR 3. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering OR 4.Chartered Accountant OR 5.Company Secretary OR 6.Chartered Financial Analyst OR 7.Cost & Work Accountant

Legal – Bachelor’s Degree in Law

Information Technology – 1.Graduate in engineering (electrical/ Electronics/ electronics and communication/ information technology/ computer science) OR 2.Masters in Computers Application OR 3.Graduate in any discipline with post graduate qualification (minimum 2 years duration) in computers/ information technology

Engineering (Civil) – Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering

Engineering (Electrical) – Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

Pay Scale: The pay scale of Officers Grade ‘A’ in SEBI is Rs. 28150-1550(4)-34350-1750(7)-46600-EB-1750(4)-53600-2000(1)-55600 (17 years). Other benefits viz., House Allowance, Leave Fare Concession, Medical Expenses, Financial Dailies, Book Grant, Briefcase, Eye Refraction, Conveyance Expenses, House Cleaning Allowance, Education Expenses, Staff Furnishing Scheme, Scheme for Purchasing Computers, Subsidized Lunch Facility, etc., will be as admissible to an Officer in Grade A in SEBI.

Age limit: A candidate must not have exceeded the age of 30 years as on August 31, 2018 i.e., the candidate must have been born on or after September 01, 1988. The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Candidates Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per Govt. Rules
